Meet Lisa

Originally from the Black Hills, Lisa returned to South Dakota after residing in St. Louis, Missouri, for four years working as a counselor. She earned her undergraduate degree from South Dakota State University and her Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of South Dakota. Lisa is married to an optometrist and has three sons.

While Lisa provides therapy to adults, teens, and children, her specialization is working with children and their families. She has undergone specialized coursework and supervised experience to earn the RPT-S (Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor) distinction. She is one of a handful of play therapists in western South Dakota. Play therapy can help children adjust to life stressors such as: divorce, death, social skills deficit, ADHD, relocation, hospitalization, chronic illness, physical/sexual abuse, domestic violence, and natural disasters.

Lisa is a licensed counselor who works with Adolescents, Adults, & Children on a variety of issues including:

Low Self-Esteem
Relationship Issues
Obessive Thinking
Parenting/Family Issues
